永生之歌

弟兄啊，

你既知道渴慕“永生”，

那就是“不朽”的最好凭证；

鱼儿被创造之前，

神先为它造好了藏身的海洋；

鸟儿还没有长出翅膀，

神为它开辟了辽阔的天空；

他既爱你超过一切，

特地赐给你那永生的信念，

岂不为你预备好

天上的永久家乡？

Brother, the fact that you know enough to desire eternal life,

Is itself the best proof that immortality is a fact.

Before fish were created,

God had already prepared an ocean for them to live in;

Before birds had learned to spread their wings,

God had created for them the sky of open air.

Now,since God loves you above all things,

And since He has given you this faith in eternal life,

Why should He not have already prepared for you

An eternal home in the heaven?
